Who we’re looking for

Velo’s Director of Marketing will be an impatient, analytical thinker who thrives on strategic problem-solving and on rallying people around a plan to win!

If you geek out over conversion rates, think "marketing qualified lead" is a beautiful phrase, and cannot help but critique marketing copy everywhere you see it, you are on the right track with this role. If you believe marketing is both art AND science, and just maybe you would rather analyze GA4 dashboards than binge Netflix, we need to talk.

If you are intellectually curious, have grit, and are a person who always finds a way when everyone says there isn’t one, you will love working with the team at Velo. If you are humble enough to know that you don’t know, but have an insatiable desire to learn and parlay that knowledge into your next victory – keep reading.

What you’ll be doing

  • Marketing Content Strategy and Production Leadership: You will direct our world-class branding, graphics, web, and video contractors to produce content that tells our story in the marketplace and cuts through the noise. You will provide strategic direction over the content strategy and maintain an editorial calendar that achieves our campaign goals.
  • Campaign Management and Lead Generation: You will be responsible for planning and optimizing SEO/SEM campaigns to drive qualified traffic. Developing and executing a social media strategy with content scheduling across platforms. Building and nurturing the client referral program through targeted communication and advocacy initiatives. Creating and managing email marketing campaigns and automated nurture sequences. Developing lead magnets such as webinars, guides, and checklists that attract and qualify prospects.
  • Analytics & Measurement: Track and analyze MQL metrics from all sources, such as referrals and digital channels. Review digital marketing analytics across platforms like Google Analytics, LinkedIn, and Google Ads to identify trends and opportunities. Help ensure CRM data hygiene and integration with the sales team. Make strategic adjustments based on performance data and conduct competitive analysis and market research to inform ongoing strategy refinement.
  • Internal Collaboration: Maintain alignment and continuous improvement initiatives with the sales team to ensure lead quality, refine the handoff process, and improved MQL performance. Present performance insights and strategic recommendations to the senior leadership team. Coordinate with other teams, such as Sales and Fractional CIOs, to ensure marketing initiatives support the broader business objectives. Participate in strategic planning sessions and receive feedback on targets and strategic direction from senior leadership.

This role is right for you if…

  • You love writing copy that captivates an audience
  • You have a history of building successful marketing campaigns
  • You want to be generously rewarded for your successes
  • You know social media is for more than cat videos and recipes
  • You want to be part of building a team that hits its targets
